Thank you all for supporting the second Greater Milwaukee Poodle Club Sponsored PCA National Upland Certificate Series test. These tests are the culmination of a few years’ worth of work in developing the Upland Certificate Tests for the Poodle Club of America, to certify poodles as Upland Hunting Dogs.

They are also used to certify Poodles as versatile hunting dogs with the inclusion of the Hunting Poodle Certificates, which requires Poodles to have completed both Upland and Retriever Certification testing.

For this year’s test we have 14 entries.

The entries break down as follows: 5 UWCX, 7 UWC, 2 UIC

We will check in from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m., first dog on line about 8 a.m.

Run order for stakes will be UWCX, followed by UWC, followed by UIC.

PEOPLE SAFTEY:

Remember BLAZE ORANGE IS REQUIRED IN THE FIELD, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE BLAZE ON YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITED TO RUN OR FOLLOW IN THE GALLERY!

There are no exceptions to this rule, there will be plain blaze hats for purchase for $5.00 (proceeds to go to GMPC) and blaze lightweight vests to borrow to use, (they need to be returned) this is for your safety with live fire in the field.

These are live fire tests, and flushed birds will be shot with live ammo in the field.

DOG SAFTEY:

Remember upland dogs can overheat quickly in pursuit of the birds in cover, feel free to carry water with you for your dog into the field. There is little shade, plan on bringing some along as well.

We will have ice available as well in case our dogs need it to cool off.

Dogs are to be aired (pottied) away from the running fields. Please clean up after your dogs, and yourselves as the property must be left in excellent condition.
